Loading pages - the basics

To load a webpage into Buildor/Lite you can either start with the box at the top of each page (with the red arrow) or you can open new pages when you are inside the application.

From the website:

Make sure you retain the "http://" when you enter your URL.

You can copy and paste the URL from your browser but watch you don't end up with "http://" twice.

From inside the application:

Click "Edit new" in the top panel which changes the control panel to:

The same rules then apply as above.

Further tips...

If your URL ends with a slash - e.g. http://www.you-site.com/squirrels/ - your webserver is resolving the address to the default file (usually index.html, index.php etc).

Fortunately, you don't need to worry about this as Buildor/Lite works out the default and loads the page anyway.

The only thing you need to watch out for is when you come to save the file as it will need to have the same file name as on the server. See our FTP guide for more details.
