What is Buildor/Lite?

We reckon Buildor/Lite is the World's easiest webpage editor.

Anyone with an existing website can edit their content simply by loading pages into our application via a browser (Internet Explorer 7+ or FireFox 2+ inc 3.x).

That's it! There's no need for any prior set-up or technical knowledge - you just start editing.

Your site will have to be compatible with Buildor/Lite but basically any site built using HTML/CSS should be fine. Best way to find out is to give it a go - just enter the URL you'd like to edit in the box above with the red arrow.

How does it work?

Buildor/Lite creates a temporary copy of your page and makes the text and images editable.

Try it out! Copy this url into the box with the red arrow at the top of the page: www.buildor.com/example.html

You edit text by highlighting your selection and you can change the font, size, color etc. in exactly the same way you would with a Word Processor.

Click on images to replace or resize them and add links to other pages or email addresses. You can place an image anywhere on a page or make it flow as part of a block of text.

But how do I save my work?

The pages of your website live on your web server and other people visit these pages by entering the URL (e.g. www.your-site.com) or by following a link to your site.

When you have finished your edits you can upload the edited page to your web server using our integrated FTP support.

"Woh there!  What's FTP?" I hear you say. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is the system we use to move files from a computer to the web server.  We've made it super easy to use and there's a full guide to FTP here.

Who's behind this thing?

The founders of Buildor are all based in London and we've been building and designing for the web for many years.
